Position Title Adjunct Professors

Description MONROE COLLEGE is currently accepting applications for adjunct classroom and online faculty positions to teach undergraduate courses for the School of Business at its Bronx NY campus for the Winter 2010 semester.


Successful online candidates should possess experience and passion for online education and commitment to excellence in distance learning; must reside in the United States; have reliable broadband internet access; and be familiar with Blackboard or other course management system. Online faculty is also required to complete online orientation and training; and attend one on-campus meeting per year. Online teaching is text based and asynchronous, and is not restricted to specific hours. Positions require a high level of commitment, including the willingness to login to class almost daily. Instructors are paid on a per-course basis.


We welcome applicants from all business disciplines; however are particularly interested in recruiting instructors to teach the following courses:

1. Management Science

2. Project Management (including the Microsoft PROJECT software) - with CPM certification preferred

3. Entrepreneurship and other Small Business Classes


Experience:

-Master's degree/ relevant post-graduate qualification or above.

-Significant university teaching experience in relevant business disciplines (Undergraduate or Graduate teaching experience is highly desirable).

-Excellent written communication skills.

-Facilitative disposition towards highly motivated adult students.

-Preference will be given to candidates with professional business qualifications and experiences as well as academic credentials.
