4/05 Quiet and gentle Mama Torti is a multidactyl tortoiseshell (i.e. she has extra toes on her front paws) that arrived at the shelter pregnant. Her kittens have been adopted, and now sweet, loving Mama Torti is waiting here at the shelter for her forever home. 8/07- Mama Torti is still here at the shelter and doing great. She is waiting to go home with someone today! 10/07 Update- This lovely, affectionate Tortoiseshell lady has been at the shelter since 2005. Sometimes the quiet ones go unnoticed but it is time for ATTENTION. Mama Torti arrived with her kittens who, long ago, were adopted. Sweet and golden-eyed, she is thought to be 2 to 3 years old and has extra toes on her feet. Mama Torti gets along with everyone.
